If it's just a git revert <hash>, you have my approval. It's a shame that there were that many people impacted but I guess it was good to know about it (I did fear some breakage but not that much in term of opposition).

It should be a red flag when you have to change a lot of the stdlib tests. I multiply by like a jillion to get a sense of the backward incompatible effect downstream of us 😜
