Fighters Legacy is a cross-platform (Windows, Linux, macOS) combat flight sim engine released under the GNU General Public License v3. The engine is content-agnostic and free for anyone to build, study, and modify. Packaged, ready-to-play builds are offered through storefronts to support continued development — see the project's distribution notes for how that works.
