Issue: dnf-automatic-install.timer overrides the dnf_automatic_download_updates: false and dnf_automatic_apply_updates: false configuration setting and will always download and install packages.

exploide added a commit that referenced this pull request Dec 20, 2025

Thanks, I'm wondering a bit that this never caused an issue before.

I needed to rebase your PR due to recent changes. Renamed the check variable while doing so.

Since this causes another systemd unit to be used for existing installations, I think a major version bump is warranted, indicating a breaking change.

Merging now.
