Legal Notice
Unless otherwise specified in specific repository LICENSE files, all open-source software distributed by the eOzka Organization is licensed under the Apache License 2.0.
By contributing to our repositories, you agree that your contributions will be licensed under its Apache License 2.0.
As per the requirements of the Apache 2.0 License, any entity redistributing or incorporating our projects into their own work must retain our attribution notices.
While the Apache 2.0 license grants you the freedom to use our code in closed-source, proprietary, or commercial applications, you are still legally required to provide proper credit.
If you use eOzka code in a private repository or commercial product, you must:
- Retain all original copyright, patent, trademark, and attribution notices.
- Include a copy of the Apache 2.0 License.
- State explicitly any significant modifications made to the original files.
The standard rolling copyright notice applies to all our works:
Copyright (c) 2026-Present, eOzka Organization and Contributors.
(Note: This rolling year is automatically managed by our CI/CD pipelines to ensure constant legal protection as years progress).
If an eOzka project contains a NOTICE file in its root directory, you MUST include that file when distributing your derivative works, or display those notices prominently in your app's "About" page. It safeguards our branding and ensures the eOzka organization receives the proper credit it deserves.
To ensure seamless compliance, maintainers can instantiate a new repository by copying the exact text block below into a new NOTICE file located in the root directory of the source code repository (right next to the LICENSE file and README.md).
Do not put NOTICE files in this Wiki. The Wiki is for documentation. The source code repositories require the legal files.
Here is the finalized, go-to eOzka NOTICE template. You can copy and paste this instantly into any organization project without needing to edit it:
