Hey, I'm Ryan. I'm a Data Science Fellow at VoteHub, on the Data Science and Decision Desk.
I'm not really a GitHub-as-a-substitute-for-social-media person, so most of my stuff, albeit the work you can actually see, lives at VH or mccomb.ca.
How I got here: I grew up in the era of tab-complete coding, back when I didn't really use GitHub and just kept everything on my Mac. It's gotten a lot more AI-assisted since. I started out writing full lines of code for a very short while, then found Cursor and wrote thousands and thousands of half-lines, and these days I mostly do code review, which the models keep getting better at too.
My thesis on coding: have fun, do things that interest you, and make cool things that people like, cool projects, cool analysis, and stuff.
