Wave VR 6 DoF Controller Simulator

How to use this in your project

1. Open the VIU Settings in the editor (Edit > Preferences > VIU Settings) and check Enable 6 Dof Simulator (Experimental) under 'VIVE Focus'.

   NOTE: This simulator is only compatible with 3Dof controllers.

   

2. Plug in an external keyboard into the headset's USB Type-C connector (you may need an adaptor).

   

Two ways to simulate a 6 DoF controller

Press Num 1, Num 2 to switch between two modes below, and press `(Backquote) to reset the position

1. External keyboard WASD/QE keys

   • Press W, A, S, and D keys to move around like a FPS game
   • Press Q and E keys to move up and down

2. External keyboard Ctrl/Shift modifier and Controller trackpad

   • Hold Ctrl key and touch the trackpad to move horizontally (XZ plane)
   • Hold Shift key and touch the trackpad to move vertically (XY plane)
