My Pet Monsters

My Pet Monsters is a game where you take care of your own ghostly companion! 🛁 🧼 Feed them the right treats and bust out dance moves in a rhythm mini-game to keep your spooky friend happy. 👻 🤍

This project was part of the Fall 2024 Game Jam at the University of New Orleans via UNO IGDA! This Game Jam's theme was Creatures. ⏰ 💻

🎮 Controls

🍟 "Feed" Game Mode:

Feed your monster by catching the right-side up plasma. Bad plasma makes you lose a life, and you only have three lives. Hint: Upside down plasma is bad! Red may be bad too. 🤫

Left arrow / A → Move left

Right arrow / D: → Move right

SPACE: → Bolt forward

⚾️ "Play" Game Mode:

Type the letter at the top of the stack on the left-hand side of the screen to complete the dance move!
