Meetup Breakdown Newsletter

Newsletter drafts for Bitcoin Events UK — each edition lives here until published to Substack.

Workflow

  1. Each edition has a draft file in drafts/ and a corresponding GitHub Issue
  2. Meetup organisers are invited as collaborators and can review the draft, raise Issues, or submit corrections
  3. When the draft is ready, Simon copy/pastes the content to Substack for publishing
  4. After publish, the draft is considered closed (no further changes unless a correction is needed)

Draft Format

Every draft follows this header format:

Issue XX — YYYY-MM-DD

[Newsletter body]

Adding a Meetup to the Newsletter

  1. Check the Google Calendar (bitcoineventsuk@gmail.com) for upcoming events
  2. Fill in the draft using the appropriate boilerplate from references/meetup-boilerplates/
  3. Verify venue, time, and bitcoin-accepting status before publishing
  4. Flag any uncertain details in the GitHub Issue for organiser review

Current Issue Number

Update this after each edition is published:

  • Current: 90 (as of 2026-04-11)
  • Next issue will be: 91
