Slow tab changes and initial focus on MacOS 26

• Is the issue reproducible in vanilla Hyper.app?
  I don't know, I only have one device to test this on.

Issue

I don't know if it's just me but since I upgraded to MacOS 26, every time I focus the app, or switch terminal tabs, open a tab or close a tab, it takes up to 5 seconds to actually do it. I see the Apple spinning cursor and nothing happens for a few seconds.

There's a fork of Hyper that's still being worked on https://github.com/quine-global/hyper

I've had the same issues since macOS 26 and can confirm switching to the forked version fixes the issue above

I also get the spinning beach ball for several seconds whenever opening Hyper since updating to MacOS 26. Currently using Hyper v3.4.1 on a MacBook Pro M4 (2024) with 48GB RAM.

More than 900 open issues, 78 pull requests, and no new version releases in over 2 years. Looks like it might be time to move on... what a shame.
