cannot use allowclear

cannot use allowClear, but when i delete theme: 'bootstrap4' the allowClear is working

I solved this locking select2 to 4.0.13 instead of the 4.1 version

To clarify here, the x is hidden under the drop-down arrow with select2 4.1+ see below.
