Spun up a new foremanctl box with the deploy-foreman-development workflow.

I usually start out with at least one host in the system, the Foreman host itself. On this box I have zero hosts.

And why would you expect the host to be there?

Only because it's there in "classic" / non-foremanctl setups.

there is no more "one foreman host", so it's also not in the DB :)

The reason the host exists in the rpm-based installation is that puppet checks in which creates a host and because we to identify a host as the "Foreman" in order to perform "self remote execution" capabilities on it. I think this raises the question if we should remove that functionality or find a new way to perform it.

We decided that

• foreman_rh_cloud can keep using the hostname (via foreman_url setting) for reports and recommendations, but should not rely on a host record
• cloud connector needs to be re-engineered not to require a foreman host.
