Today, we run the linkchecker as part of the build process in Netlify.
This is sub-optimal because:
- It doesn't actually trigger a build to fail if there's errors, and, nobody actually looks at the Netlify build logs.
- It takes 10 or so minutes to run, making deployments much slower (and for very little gain).
We should instead run this as a GitHub Action. We should consider switching to linkchecker alternatives as part of this work.
For now, it should not be a required check - since there's likely a lot of broken links already.
