microshift-olm RPM is missing the CRDs for ClusterCatalog?

Dear maintainers,

I tried to create the same catalogs that I found in my OKD cluster (and in my OpenShift cluster) in my MicroShift singlenode. I installed the microshift-olm package, but apparently it does not install the CRDs for ClusterCatalogs.

I could create the example catalog pointing to the Operatorhub, as stated in the documentation.

As this CRD seems to be present in a standard OpenShift installation, I wonder if it is intentionally left out in microshift-olm or if this is a mistake (I guess the latter).

Same holds true for the ClusterExtensions CRD that also seems to be missing.

Thanks for the reply. No, it does not. It talks about CatalogSource and having to provide your own catalogs. Later on it explains how to get the operatorhub.io catalog into Microshift.

But it does not explain why "normal" OpenShift apparently uses OLMv1 (aka operator-controller) while microshift-olm only understands (or only provides CRDs for) OLMv0.

Is there a reason for Microshift only using the v0 OLM version (if that is really the case, this is just guesswork on my part...).

@kastl-ars , I can confirm that MicroShift currently only supports OLMv0.
The support of OLMv1 is on our backlog, but it's been supeseeded by other tasks so far.

Thanks for the feedback, nice to hear it is on the list. Is there an Jira ticket, bugzilla or similar to follow the OLMv1 feature? Or should we just leave this one open?
