Code of Conduct

Blocks Beyond the Stars is a family project, and we would love for it to stay a welcoming place for everyone. The whole rule, really, is this:

Be kind to one another.

That means:

  • Be welcoming. People of every age, background and skill level are invited to play, report bugs and contribute. Beginners especially — everyone starts somewhere.
  • Be respectful. Disagree about ideas, never about people. No personal attacks, harassment, insults, or discrimination of any kind.
  • Be patient and helpful. Assume good intent, explain things kindly, and remember a lot of us are doing this in our spare time for fun.
  • Keep it kid-friendly. This is a family game and younger players are here too. No swearing, slurs or mature content in chat, in the names you give players, bases, stations, beacons or creatures, on signs or in builds. Server hosts may remove inappropriate content and block players who break this.

If someone is making the project a worse place — being rude, harassing others, or otherwise breaking the spirit above — please let us know.

Reporting

If you experience or witness behaviour that breaks this, contact the maintainers privately through GitHub (open a private security advisory, or reach out to @marceld23 directly). Reports are handled discreetly. Maintainers may remove comments, issues and pull requests, or block contributors, that don't follow this code.

In short

Treat others the way you'd want to be treated. That's it. Have fun out there. 🚀

This is a deliberately short, plain-language code of conduct. In spirit it follows the widely used Contributor Covenant; we just wanted something everyone can read in a minute.
