Describe The Bug

What is happening?

The Heater/Cooler is showing the threshold sliders when AUTO is not part of the TargetHeaterCoolerState values.

In this case, the threshold slider being displayed is correct, as the accessory has an AUTO setting:

This device will heat only if the temperature drops below the threshold. Once above the threshold it will stop heating.

In this case, the threshold slider being displayed doesn't make sense, as the accessory only has a HEAT setting:

This device will heat regardless of temperature until it is turned off. This equivalent to a simple On/Off switch.

What you expect to happen?

When the Heater/Cooler does not have a TargetHeaterCoolerState value of AUTO, then the threshold sliders should not be displayed.

Interesting.

The slider with threshold value(s) is showing only when it is set to AUTO, but hidden when set to HEAT or COOL. Not what I expected and not sure what my opinion on this is.

• Pro: Slider showing only when on auto makes sense as HEAT or COOL don't use threshold values
• Con: Threshold values can only be set when the device is in AUTO mode. The values cannot be read if currently not being used

If this was a hardware device, the knobs for setting threshold values wouldn't disappear.

When the device is not in AUTO mode, can it be indicated that the slider is not used? Maybe display the slider in gray scale instead of color? Just throwing out ideas

The slider should be hidden when AUTO is not one of the selectable modes.
