Sorry for the delay on responding - I think this got lost in the shuffle. I think custom fields would be ideal for this use-case. https://snipe-it.readme.io/docs/custom-fields |

Snipe-IT Version
v8.3.5 - Build 20406 (master)
How can we help?
I'm currently testing Snipe It and it looks really promising! However, I'm having trouble making it work for our workflow. I don't know if it's a missing feature, if I'm overlooking something, or if it's just not the right application for it.
We are a small film production company with a bunch of equipment. We don't need all of our equipment for every film project and sometimes lend some equipment to external users. Therefore, we want to keep track of which equipment was used for which project. I haven't found a way to specify a “project” for a bulk checkout. I know I can display a custom field on the checkout form, but that only works for individually assets, not for bulk checkout
So basically, we want to check our assets out to a user - because someone has to be responsible for them - but we also want to assign a project to that specific checkout case so that we can check later which assets were used for that project. Is something like this possible? Thank for the help!
