i915 drm-kmo 6.6 main artifacts

I had a crash earier today which made me power off/on to recover (I think like #385 ).

Now I am seeing artifacts which look like barcodes in various colors depending on where on the screen and what background.  How does one debug this or gather further information?

There's no logging currently on the console even with boot -v.
