Question about NFC Data Transfer support in eudi-lib-android-wallet-core

Hello EUDI Wallet Core team,

We are currently integrating the Android Wallet Core library into our EUDI Wallet implementation and have a question regarding proximity presentation.

From the documentation, we understand that the library currently supports:

NFC Device Engagement
BLE Data Transfer

while NFC Data Transfer is still listed as not yet supported.

We would like to clarify the following:

Does the current library support transferring credential data entirely over NFC, or is NFC currently used only for device engagement while the actual data exchange always occurs over Bluetooth LE?
Is there a plan to implement full NFC Data Transfer (ISO/IEC 18013-5 NFC transport) in future releases of eudi-lib-android-wallet-core?
If NFC Data Transfer is planned, is there any estimated roadmap or timeline for this feature?

Our use case requires credential exchange in environments where Bluetooth may not be available or permitted, so understanding the future direction of NFC support would be very helpful.

Thanks for confirming that NFC data transfer is technically supported at the underlying OpenWallet Multipaz layer.

I'd like to add a note on use case priority: from a real-world deployment perspective, the Verifier (reader) ↔ Wallet (Holder) NFC flow — e.g. a fixed reader terminal tapping against a citizen's phone — seems like the most practical and highest-value scenario to prioritize, compared to Wallet-to-Wallet (peer phone-to-phone) interaction. This mirrors how NFC is already used reliably in payments and e-passport reading (1 active reader + 1 passive/HCE device), rather than 2 phones negotiating engagement with each other.

I don't see this Verifier↔Wallet NFC data-transfer completion mentioned on the Reference Implementation Roadmap — could the team clarify whether this specific flow (not Wallet-to-Wallet) is being tracked, and roughly when it might land?
