Question: Worng keys are animated for Programmer's Dvorak with Qwerty HotKeys

I'm using the Dvorak for Programmer's layout on Windows 10, but I remapped the Virtual Keys to QWERTY so that the default hotkeys work, then compiled the layout using MSKLC. Everything worked fine before rebooting. However, after reboot, OverKeys displays incorrectly highlighted keys, e.g. pressing 'a', 'o', 'e', 'u' on my keyboard highlights 'a', 's', 'd', 'f' in the Dvorak OverKeys layout. I understand that my problem is very specific, but is there anything I can do to fix it?

Sorry for replying so late. I'm unaware of how MSKLC works but it might be that MSKLC opens and remaps the keys before OverKeys is opened. You could try having OverKeys open first. This is how it is when using kanata, another keyboard remapping software, which I recommend over MSKLC. I could help you set it up quickly, just send me an email.

Will be converting this into a discussion instead of an issue for the meantime as this is most likely not a bug and is more concerning your setup.

i also have this issue. Kanata does work, but i do believe msklc is worlds more intuitive than Kanata and would love to see OverKeys working with msklc
