Hi, I'm experiencing the exact same problems as described here, using Fedora 43, Plasma 6.5.5, and Qt 6.10.1.
Summary of My Setup:

Fedora 43 (fully updated)
KDE Plasma 6.5.5
Qt 6.10.1
wallpaper-engine-kde-plugin built from catsout/wallpaper-engine-kde-plugin (manual build, all dependencies confirmed)
All Python and QML requirements installed (python3-websockets, qt6-qtwebsockets, qt6-qtwebchannel, etc.)

What Happens:

Plugin builds successfully (no fatal errors, just deprecation warnings for Qt functions)
"plugin lib (for scene,mpv)" shows missing in checklist until build completes
After setting a Wallpaper Engine background, plasmashell crashes on startup with a SIGABRT
Removing wallpaper-engine plugin references from plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc and resetting config breaks the crash loop, but attempting to use the plugin causes it again
KDE Store pre-packaged version is not downloadable (KDE Store server DNS fails, but likely same version anyway)

What I've Tried:

Compiling manually from source, confirming all libs present
Installing from KDE Store (not possible due to DNS/domain issue — but confirmed would be the same code)
Resetting all config and caches before install
Verifying the scene/mpv backend libs are in place
DNS flush and network troubleshooting to rule out download issues
Ensuring my system meets all stated requirements in README (including Vulkan, mpv, etc.)

Additional Info:

Plugin works up through build/install, but as soon as it runs, the plasmashell crash loop starts
Same as described by others (see #564); appears to be specific to Qt 6.10.x and latest Fedora + Plasma versions

Is there any available workaround? Is a patch for Qt 6.10.1 in progress, or should Fedora users wait for a release update?
