Problem

When using Coinbase as the source for fiat exchange rates, the following issues arise with Cuban currencies:

1. Incorrect CUP (Cuban Peso) rate: Coinbase shows an exchange rate that does not reflect the real market value of CUP, resulting in an incorrect rate for Cuban users.

2. Obsolete CUC currency instead of MLC: Coinbase still lists CUC (Cuban Convertible Peso), a currency that ceased to exist officially in 2021. The current currency is MLC (Freely Convertible Currency), while CUP remains the main circulating currency.

Proposed Solution

Yadio.io is an API developed by a Cuban developer that provides:

• Correct and up-to-date exchange rates for CUP
• MLC currency instead of CUC (non-existent currency)
• Regular updates to reflect changes in the Cuban monetary system
• Exchange rates for other currencies remain equivalent to Coinbase and other reference APIs
