Describe the feature, why the feature matters to you, and what benefits the feature will bring about.
I have a feature request too for the live USB installer. To assist easier migration for non-techies, wouldn’t it be possible to have a windows starter program that prepares the UEFI bootloader for USB boot in the next boot. And as second feature, more advanced, let it make a second partition already before switching to linux to copy all the user data from windows to linux, so that the non-tech gets a clean install but keep all their files, like they under windows.
The reason I am asking is that I notice that more people want to migrate, but are scary to do so, because they absolutely do not know what they doing. Which is understandable. This will make the threshold lower. You click run under windows, some stuff happens, there is a reboot, installation begins and in the end you have all your documents in your new user profile(s)
Describe any alternatives you've considered.
explain and convince that it is not so scary.
