iCloud issues

Hi. I use icloud to synch my vault across laptop, desktop and a couple of mobile devices. Ive jus started usind smartconnections for the semantic connections view and to have claude code be able to use the mcp. I was hoping that given the relative light indexing work once the vault is indexed, the .smart-env folder would gracefully submit to being on icloud but this doent seem to be the case. I had a fully indexed vault but having rebooted and restarted powershell is telling me that every file in .smart-env\multi has been touched and therefore icloud needs to synch. My vault has around 3,600 notes in so this is about an hours work.

Any advice on how to make a vault in icloud and smartconnections work nicely together?

I recommend excluding the .smart-env folder from syncing.

I'm working on some things that will make the env data more amenable to syncing, but it's better to just rebuild the embedding index on each device for now.
