I'm Adham, and I built OpenTrace because I was tired of copy-pasting logs, stack traces, and query plans into my AI assistant every time something broke in production.

So I built a tool that gives your AI assistant direct access to everything — logs, Postgres stats, error groups, server metrics — through 75+ MCP tools.

What OpenTrace does:

• Ingests structured logs with full-text search
• Connects to your Postgres databases (read-only, SQL-validated)
• Monitors servers with a lightweight agent
• Exposes everything as MCP tools for Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, or any MCP client
• Rule-based watches that alert on threshold breaches

It's a single binary, uses SQLite for storage, fully self-hosted, and your data never leaves your infrastructure.

Where it's headed:
I'm actively working on this and would love your input on what to build next. Some things I'm considering:

• More database connectors (MySQL, Redis)
• Richer error tracking
• More analytics and dashboards
• Better onboarding experience
