- Diverse skills: Consider mixing up the team with different strengths — frontend, backend, data analysis, and communication/design.
- Pick a clear idea early: Check the Ideas page for inspiration and lock in your topic by the end of kickoff day.
- Divide and conquer: Break your project into independent pieces that team members can work on in parallel. Use Github Issues to document and assign task
Each team should target at least one meaningful artifact by closeout:
- Pull request (preferred)
- Issue + reproducible analysis
- Documentation/tutorial contribution
- Working prototype with clear setup and results
