Arduino Zigbee - stops working after deep sleep

Thank you for building a Zigbee enabled option for the Seeed IoT button. I have the v1 version it seems.

I have tested it with Home Assistant. Flashing the device with Arduino works fine and I'm able to add the button as a new device in ZHA. I created a simple automation and it works fine, until the device goes to sleep.

Upon wake, it no longer sends any signals to ZHA and I have to put the device back in pairing mode to get it working again.

What is the secret to get it reconnected after a sleep? The buttons light up, but there's no longer communication happening to Home Assistant.

Yes, this problem has always existed. For version V1, it uses light sleep, and Zigbee has never been able to reset to the working state after being awakened from light sleep. However, in the V2 version of deep sleep, it works because deep sleep will restart the entire system, similar to a reset.So I recommend using ESPHome MQTT firmware on V1 version devices.

Thank you for the response. I'm glad you have fixed the design flaw in v2.

The button must be connected to a pin that can actually wake the device!

I'll tinker with the v1 that I have and see if I can repurpose into something interesting. Maybe I will steal the pin connected to the blue LED and use it for i2c instead...

Please consider a version of this device with a grove port. It would make the device much more useful and interesting! I would pay more for a feature like this.
