How is Path of Building expected to behave?

I should be able to link my account to PoB2 just like PoB1.

How does Path of Building behave?

I click the "Authorize with Path of Exile" and get the error pictured below. This occurs on both the application through Wine/Lutris as well as the browser version on both Brave and Firefox.

How to reproduce the issue

1. Load PoB
2. Click "Authorize with Path of Exile" Button

Am I right in understanding PoB1 can authenticate but not PoB2? That's an ugly error but it shows something being wrong with your install. Are there any differences in how those were installed?

That error shows up on the app and the browser version. I installed it through Lutris. I'm new to Linux so I might have messed up. I can't get a clear picture of the error. No matter how I adjust the window, it's still behind the text fields.

The error says what is missing, so I would try installing the lua-socket module.
Sometimes lua-socket is not included in the default Lua depending on distro.

In windows, I believe the necessary files are included in the pob2/lua folder.
It looks like lutris/wine is defaulting to your usr folder for whatever reason.
