Operating System of DocumentServer
Windows Server
Version information
6.3.1
Expected Behavior

XLSX files created by Microsoft Excel should be rendered with normal row height in the spreadsheet editor.
Actual Behavior
When an XLSX file created by Microsoft Excel is opened in ONLYOFFICE Docs / DocSpace, the worksheet is rendered with abnormally large row heights.
This happens even with a blank workbook created in Microsoft Excel.
The whole sheet looks vertically stretched, and a large empty area appears above or around the visible cells.
As a result, the spreadsheet layout looks broken.
Reproduction Steps
- Create a new blank workbook in Microsoft Excel.
- Save it as
.xlsx.
- Upload the file to ONLYOFFICE DocSpace / open it in ONLYOFFICE Docs.
- Open the spreadsheet editor.
- Observe that the row height is rendered much larger than expected.
Additional information
- The issue is reproducible even with a completely blank workbook created by Microsoft Excel.
- It is not related to cell contents, merged cells, or custom formatting.
- If the workbook is rebuilt/reconstructed and saved again in a simplified form, it renders normally.
- This suggests the problem is related to how ONLYOFFICE interprets worksheet-level metadata from Excel-generated XLSX files, possibly default row height / sheet format / sheet view handling.
