First of all: Thanks for that nice launcher app! I was unsatisfied with my previous launcher and was looking for clean and efficient way to start any kind of activities on my phone with ease. KISS is the perfect solution 🥳.
However, there was one thing I was not able to figure out:

I have a background which is basically light, but also a bit textured (see attachement) with some dark speckles at the top. Because of this, the status bar text and icons are not readable very well.

I would like to have a tinted background like for the other UI elements in KISS (search results, search bar) for the status bar as well. As I found while searching existing issues, the ability to set the background of the status bar has been removed in #2438 due to a change in android. Does this mean there is no way at all to set the color of the status bar? I know other apps (e.g. my previous launcher) that where able to set a semi-transparent black background of the status bar.
Describe alternatives you've considered, or that are already available within KISS
I already tried switching to dark text in the status bar via KISS settings, but that did not really help.
Would you be able to contribute code?
I could provide a PR if I maybe could get some hints on how to look for in the sources. I am familiar with Android Studio and also have some experience in Android development.
