How do I figure out Local Bike station IDs?

From the JSON feed, how do I figure out my Local bike stations so that I can determine Bike availability without opening the mobile App?

The answer is in the GBFS spec itself. Each station in the station_information.json feed has a station_id field — that’s your local station ID. You can cross-reference it with station_status.json, which uses the same station_id to report real-time availability (e.g., num_bikes_available, num_docks_available).

To find your specific station, look for the name or short_name field in station_information.json. If the provider includes lat/lon, you can geolocate nearby stations. Both feeds are listed in gbfs.json under the url for each language.

If you’re unsure which provider serves your area, check the Systems Catalog in this repo for a list of known GBFS feeds and their endpoints. No app needed — just fetch the JSON directly.
