New smart devices IKEA - BADRING / TIMMERFLOTTE / ALPSTUGA / MYGGBETT / MYGGSPRAY

Hello to all

Regarding the new devices from IKEA, in that case the sensors, oce this devices have are based on the chip Qorvo QPG6200L multi-protocol that supports also matter, zigbee, thread and BLE and use the touchlink that is based on the zigbee to comunicate bettewen the devices directly wihout a zigbee corrdinator or HUB, my question is:

Is there any way to add this kind of devices to the Z2M? I'm thinking about this possibility once the remotes/buttons "Bilresa" and the bulbs "Kajplats" are now working on the Z2M.

If some one have sucessfly added this devices to the Z2M, please coment in this post with the steps that you follow

New devices are added by the community. As soon as someone will try and submit some data and if it is possible to force the device in zigbee mode, this should be possible.

Yes I already have some of this devices, but I don't get or sow any information about how to put this as zigbee pairing mode.

• 6 times,

I believe only the devices that support Touchlink (KAJPLATS, BILRESA) also have Zigbee pairing mode.

As you can check in the video available on the oficail site from the IKEA about this sensor MYGGBETT

It appears the "logo" about the touchlink and also the video is making the idea that you can easly link the sensor to the lights... on the google search, you can also confirm have this information, please check the picture on bellow

FYI: I succeed to direct pair one of MYGGSPRAY/MYGGBETT/BILRESA product to SILVERGLANS product by (turn on SILVERGLANS + ) press 4 times the pairing button on MYGGBETT close to SILVERGLANS

• Sensors trigger turning on/off le light properly.
• Only one sensor device can be paired to the light.
• After this it looks like that SILVERGLANS device left the main zigbee network.

I succeeded to pair BILRESA (with rotary) to ZHA by doing follow instruction here with BILRESA (2 button) : zigpy/zha-device-handlers#4612
(still need to add quirk)

Thanks for that reporting @axellebot I guess, your pairing between MYGGBETT and SILVERGLANS was done via Touchlink (physically close to each other) - Right?

No 😕 I tried really hard to find a button combo or some way to add it.
Maybe if it receives a firmware update. It comes with v1.0.7 and there are no updates yet.

Pressing the button 15 times on MYGBETT initiates a sort of paring mode, but i could not get it connected to zigbee2mqtt

I could not get it to pair to ZHA, but pressing the button several times always caused it to directly pair to several Eglo/Awox lights, so it somehow has to work in some kind of zigbee mode...

I wasn't able to add my Myggspray either (Z2M).

• Hold the pair button until it turns red and wait until it turns off (or not, not sure).
• Release button.
• Press 4 fimes then 8 times.

Looking at the CSA website one can actually check if a given device has received Zigbee certification.
For example, here's the page confirming the Zigbee 3.0 End Device capabilities for GRILLPLATS: https://csa-iot.org/csa_product/grillplats-plug

Actually, here are all the IKEA devices: https://csa-iot.org/csa-iot_products/?p_company[]=741
(I wasn't able to filter by Zigbee though.)

Based on this, MYGGSPRAY and MYGGBETT do indeed seem to be Zigbee certified, but I was only able to find Matter entries for TIMMERFLOTTE and ALPSTUGA, which sadly makes sense, as they don't have any touchlink capabilities either.

(Also, there's a mistake in the title of this issue, as BADRING is the old, Zigbee based water leak detector, the new Matter / Thread counterpart is KLIPPBOK.)
