Emetric Beta License

Version 1.0 — applies to Emetric 0.42.0-beta.1 and other versions explicitly distributed under this license.

1. Ownership

Emetric, including its source code, compiled or distributed script files, documentation, interface design, screenshots, examples, names, marks and associated materials, is proprietary software owned by Kristian Möller / KTKM Design AB.

This license does not transfer ownership of Emetric or any associated intellectual property rights.

2. Beta license grant

During the public beta period, you may download, install and use Emetric free of charge for:

  • evaluation;
  • testing;
  • personal use;
  • educational use;
  • limited professional trial use.

This license is non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable and limited to beta evaluation and testing.

3. What you may do

You may:

  • run Emetric in Adobe InDesign;
  • make local backup copies for your own use;
  • test Emetric with your own documents, fonts and workflows;
  • create screenshots or recordings for bug reports, reviews or feedback;
  • submit bug reports, feature requests and feedback through the project repository or directly to the author.

4. Restrictions

You may not, without prior written permission:

  • sell, rent, lease, sublicense or otherwise commercialize Emetric;
  • redistribute, mirror, repackage or bundle Emetric as a separate download or as part of another product;
  • remove or alter copyright, license or attribution notices;
  • claim ownership or authorship of Emetric;
  • create or distribute modified versions of Emetric;
  • use the name Emetric, KTKM Design AB or Kristian Möller in a way that implies endorsement;
  • use Emetric in a hosted service, automation service or shared tool platform where third parties access the software directly.

5. Commercial licensing

Emetric is currently made available as a free public beta. Future stable releases may require a paid commercial license for professional or organizational use.

The availability of this beta version free of charge does not guarantee that future versions will remain free.

6. Feedback

You may submit feedback, ideas, bug reports, screenshots and feature suggestions. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you grant Kristian Möller / KTKM Design AB permission to use that feedback to improve Emetric without obligation or compensation.

Do not submit code contributions unless explicitly invited or agreed in advance.

7. No warranty

Emetric is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind. The software is beta software and may contain bugs, errors, incomplete functionality or compatibility issues.

You are responsible for testing Emetric before using it in production work. Always keep backups of important InDesign documents.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kristian Möller / KTKM Design AB shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising from the use of, inability to use, or reliance on Emetric.

9. Termination

This license terminates automatically if you violate its terms. Upon termination, you must stop using Emetric and delete any copies in your possession or control.
