I activated the "Sunshine Duration" entity in HA in the hope of obtaining information about the duration of solar radiation.
According to the description on www.dwd.de, sunshine duration describes "die Dauer der direkten Sonneneinstrahlung über einen bestimmten Zeitraum" (the duration of direct sunlight over a specific period of time).
Since the period of the entity isn't described in detail (or I couldn't find it), I assumed it was a daily value. The value's trend curve was also zero until 5 a.m. and rose throughout the morning. However, it fell again from 10 a.m. onwards. So it can't be the daily total of sunshine duration in seconds. Okay, I could add up the values ​​myself, but to what period does the statement in the entity refer?

this is the sunshine duration in seconds and as in the sensor the values are all hourly, the period is also the hour.

If you are interested in the daily value for sunshine duration: this value is included in the additional forecast attributes and for a daily forecast automatically summed.
