AWS RDS Parameter Group

Hello,

I read in the tutorial https://terracotta-python.readthedocs.io/en/latest/tutorials/aws.html that the suggested value for the parameter group in the RDS instance is as follows:
wait_timeout = 1 max_connections = 16000

I am curious why the suggested wait_timeout is 1. Would it be too quick? Or is it supposed to be like that to support the internal terracotta system?

I don't think it matters a lot, but in general Terracotta database lookups are extremely cheap. So if there's a hanging connection you want to terminate it fast to not eat into your budget of maximum connections.

If you experience timeouts you can tune this value, but 1s should be a decent default.
