Awkward UX around building an image and then launching #156

Description

@choldgraf

The UX around building an image and then launching is a bit confusing. Here are some things that I saw folks getting tripped up by:

  • Do you have to click "build image" every time you launch? Or can you just go straight to launch? What happens if you launch without building?
  • When you click the "build image" button, the user was expecting the server to start - they waited 30 seconds before looking more closely at the logs and realizing they had to scroll down and launch. They were expecting a mybinder.org style auto-launch
    • Suggestion: a second "launch server" button could pop up next to the "build" button upon success

Here's an image of the two buttons to give an idea for the confusion - for folks with short screens, the "start server" button is off the page, and so they didn't even know it was there.
